K's Quick Tips:
La Paz
A short and sweet La Paz Travel Guide
La Paz Overview
La Paz is a culturally rich Andean city with visible indigenous heritage and great food against a mountain backdrop that rivals the Himalayas nn
My Adventurous side says: Adrenaline rushes from treks, hikes, and death road mountain biking are plentiful. My Cultured side says: Indigenous Andean and Bolivian culture is rich and all around (unlike more European influenced parts of South America). My Flashpacker side says: This place is cheap and the travelers are a balance of cultured, dirtbagish, and fun

Pro Flashpacker Tip
- Take the Bolivia Hop bus to Copacabana, boat to Isla de Sol (for a hike), and finally to Cusco
- Visit the swimming pool hostel near Coroica for a great lunch and atmosphere
HEADS UP!!!!
- Border Crossing from Chile to Bolivia: There is a checklist of things to bring to the border crossing (yellow fever vaccination proof, passport photos, passport copies, crisp bills, etc.). We didnt have it but were lucky enough to get by with a $20 bribe, though I wouldn't try it again. Come prepared to the Bolivia -> Chile border crossing
